Oh, interesting: Since all your grades are As and Bs, does this mean 'Cannibal Holocaust' is bad or did you actually see merit in it? I'm asking because I've been intruiged by this notorious flick for ages but all I've read about it so far (on this board and elsewhere) are scathing condemnations, so I didn't make the extra effort to obtain a banned movie.

Is that the Godard movie? Did you post a review of sorts? (I couldn't find one but you've indicated that it was a rewatch and I didn't look back too far.)

D'oh! It's been edited (although you quoting it ensures the remnants of my mistake will remain for all eternity). :)

Yes, it's the Godard. I didn't post a review because I had seen it before, several years back in a film course in college. But my reaction to it now was much the same as it was then: a mixture of uneasy appreciation, bafflement and exasperation (I admittedly throw in the towel when it gets to the animal slaughter).

What a sad, sad month. Go watch some of those cool foreign movies I'm unlikely to see and write about them. THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE HERE FOR, UNKE

Heh, I gave up understanding this movie when that traffic jam scene went on forever, but it made me laugh.

Well, I was reading a lot and my wife is impatiently waiting for me to finish the "Song of Fire and Ice" (Game of Thrones) books. Im on the fourth of five books, so I'm not having high hopes for September either ...
