I tried to watch this and it says Sony blocked it. Too bad, I was interested even though I still haven't seen the movie.

You should try uploading your video to DailyMotion, they don't usually block videos for copyright reasons like Youtube does.

DailyMotion is for losers, go with Blip....they pay money. Granted they do "require" an episodic show but that's more of a suggestion.

What's wrong with DM? There's a lot of great stuff on there, never heard of Blip before though.

As much as you post Agony Booth links, I would've thought you ventured into the videos and see that they all use Blip.

Oh I haven't watched any of AG's video reviews, so I didn't know that. I'm dissapointed that AG seem to have completely phased out text recaps altogether.

Don't be, some of the people there are really good especially Sursam Ursa and I actually get on with a few on them on Twitter and some stream chats we mutually frequent.

If this is the kind of thing you like to do you should just open your own website.

Re: The Adventures of Tintin: video review & analysis
Great review, thanks for posting. I did like "the adventures of Tintin" a lot, but somehow a motion picture (animated, mo cap, CGI or live action) never can live up to the original Hergé comics. I have read them all and there is a very unique feel to the characters and the drawing style. I think none of the animated versions came even close. The Spielberg movie has its own feel and takes the "no shadows, clear and sharp outlines only, combined with painstakingly realistic details and dimensions, body language but cartoonish faces with simplified expressions so the reader can interpret emotions by filling in with their own imagination" to the exact opposite: fully 3D rendered with very complex textures and the cartoonish faces do have expression. This is a different interpretation of Tintin, but truly great nonetheless. O.K. now about the "Easter Eggs". I agree with you that there are numerous and clever references to earlier Spielberg movies throughout the film. I need to take a closer look once I have access to a DVD or streaming video. Here are just two which are complçetely obvious (I still put the spoiler tag on, just to be on the safe side): The title sequence in 60s-style 2D animation is not just very "trendy", it is definitely a wink and a nod to Spielberg's earlier "Catch me if you can" with the great 60s retro intro. The crazy motorcycle chase/escape scene is definitely a nod to the chase/escape scene in "Indiana Jones and the Last Cruzade" which contained a very similar looking late 1930s motorycle. Anyone spotting further easter eggs?
