Because let's be honest - we were all thinking it. :)

Well I think before anything else we should apply the Roger Ebert way of thinking: as soon as Lois finds out that Clark Kent is Superman, everything would change. In the movie Superman II
[Reveal] Spoiler:
Lois actually does find out that both are the same person - she way she forgets it again is infamously far fetched, but the issue at least has been addressed.

I read some of the YouTube comments. I think the issue with "what does Superman do in his spare time" is rather easy to answer: people very likely think of him as a god-like figure: he is always saving the world from some menace and doesn't need to sleep or eat. He is too awesome for that.

There's also this.

And, of course, this.

And this.

And this.

And, on a slightly different subject, this.

That's irresponsible, Ken! With the upcoming Man of Steel sequel on the far off horizon, you should at least have the decency to type, "spoiler alert." :)

It's Superman's revenge for this:

I sincerely hope that the movie begins that way.

While we're discussing it, it's weird how Superman gets all the crap for having an obvious disguise when A. he has frequently devised schemes for Clark and Superman to be seen together, thus diverting suspicion, and B. Batman's disguise isn't exactly airtight either and nobody says dick about it.

Well, except for that one guy in the second Dark Knight movie, which raises the question of where all the other people are who've inevitably figured it out and why they're keeping a lid on it. Surely Bruce Wayne doesn't have time to personally save all their lives.
