My favourite family guy moment involves Stewie.
He is talking, and he mentions that he has done some horrible things in his life time
It then cuts to him introducing Yoko to John Lennon.
it only lasts 5 secs but It is just the business.

Family Guy is packed with awesome moments, though the episodes are invariably much less than the sum of their parts.

My personal favorite moment is when they're at the porn awards, and the award is being presented for best musical score. The first two entries are fairly typical porn fare, with guys mixing music at a sound board. The third is John Williams ferociously conducting the London Symphony Orchestra through an action-oriented piece, reminiscent of Jaws or Star Wars. It's brilliant.

Best moment, if I had to choose i'd say when that one Arab suicide bomber goes to heaven, and the 72 "virgins" he was promised turn out to to be a bunch of geeks!

There are a ton of great Family Guy moments, but one recent one comes to mind in two words: Surfin' Bird, particularly in the following scene:

Brian: "You thought *what* would be big news?"
Peter: "Well, there seems to be an absence of a certain ornithological piece- a headline regarding mass awareness of a certain avian variety."
Brian: "What're you talking about?"
Peter: "Oh, have you not heard? It was my understanding that everyone had heard."
Brian: "Heard what?"
Stewie: "Brian, DON'T-!!"
Peter: "Buh-buh-bird bird bird, buh-buh-be-bird...!"

Good times!

Another one i just thought of-the cutawat when Peter puts in that tape and that girl from The Ring warns him that he'll die if he watches the tape, and then the movie Mannequin comes on and Peter dies with look of absolute horror I'm sure James would probably agree with him!

I have to agree with Patrick. Any time Peter fights that giant chicken I laugh for a couple of minutes straight through.

thre is one cool bit where spend nearly 10 minutes fighting. then realise that they have no idea why they are fighting, them and their wives have a meal together, there is an altercation and the fight starts again.

My 5 year old would NOT stop singing that damn song for almost a full hour after seeing it on TV. I could hear him in his room after I put him to bed still going at it.

Anyway, the Blue Harvest episode(s) were the best, with the "Red" squadron (Big Red, Simply Red, Helen Reddy, Redd Foxx, Red October) calling in the best part.

I almost forgot about this one until I saw the episode again where Stewie first meets his future self:
