Post Heroes (Spoilers Welcome)
This show has lost its mojo quite some time ago... but I'm still watching (with my finger resting on the fast-forward button). Thoughts about this week's episodes?
Is it wrong that the only character I care about is Sylar?

I think the only reason I was pick that show up again is that Hayden started getting naked at least three times an episode. Maybe if they brought black eye death girl, and give them a naked makeout scene.

Sorry the graphic description, but that's what it take to get me into that dreck again. My issues with Lost spilled over into this show, but it took a lot longer for the horrible writing to manifest itself. The first two seasons could of been attributed to "finding their legs", but Season 3 ruined that happening.

I think the 2 first episodes of Fugitives are a step forward on the right direction. I really enjoyed them more than any of the chapters of season 2 or 3.

I might try watching a few of the more recent episodes tomorrow. I gave up on the show after a terrible start to season three.

I actually thought season 3 (more specifically volume 3) started with a bang. The rot was gradual but by "The Eclipse" , there were so many problems that I realize I didn't care about how it ends anymore.

People started killing without consequences. Bad guys turn good and bad again (Sylar) without any real depth to the transformations. Moral backbone of S1 (Suresh) did something retarded (scientist injecting himself with something without knowing the full consequences) and turning evil (totally out of character). For some reason, because he is a taxi driver again and fellow fugitive, nobody cared (at least in their reactions) about the fact that he had experimented on and killed people. These are just 2 of the many things that bothered me and affected my enjoyment of subsequent episodes.

In many of the other shows I've watched , the consequences of wrong choices can perpetuate over a few seasons. Other characters' treatment of that person changes according to decisions and actions taken by the him/her. Relationships change and dialogue/body language changes accordingly. Healing is gradual and more importantly I cared about what happens.

In Heroes, the writing just seems lazy. Nathan seems to take the brunt of the lazy writing. Nobody (including himself) seems to know what is the main motivation behind the character. He seems to be easily manipulated and makes whimsical choices throughout the show (from S1 till now) that serves nothing except to tell the audience "oh i'm a Hero now or ooh I'm now villany.." His reasoning is often illogical and for a senator, he is pretty quite retarded and clueless.

The Problems I have with it:

In the first episode of season 3, Hiro's dad told him not to open the safe. Of course he did, and the girl stole his piece of the formula. Why couldn't he just go back in time and stop her, then go toss the formula in the ocean. As a matter of fact, Hiro should be able to save the day every time. How did the girl steal it anyway? Hiro can time travel/teleport so he can obviously move faster than the speed of light, which the girl could not. It's lame ass writing like this that makes this show suck balls.

Also, the whole part about suresh injecting himself with that when he didn't know what would happen?? He got horny as hell, got super strength, could climb walls like spider man, and his body started to break down. Ladies and gentlemen, these scenes were lifted almost exactly scene for scene from The Fly. Could the writers be any more lazy? God I hate this show!

I watched the episode that showed last night. It was, to my surprise, quite good.

I noticed something though; Is it just me, or do the writers try and find a way for Claire to show her healing abilities in every episode?

I keep watching, but outside of one good episode this year, this show hasn't been good since season one. And even then, it was just barely better than mediocre. I guess I keep watching in the hopes that it will get better. Alas, it never does.

I watch it out of habit now, not because I'm all that interested. I can't remember the last time I really enjoyed an episode. I hate the apparent lack of continuity on the show. I don't remember Ando getting a power... when did that happen? Probably, I was drifting off to sleep during that episode. The constant shifting of alliances is tiresome. There's really no one to identify with or pull for. At least the show has its share of pretty women to admire.

I liked season one, stuck with season two despite its suckage, and gave up on season three within one episode. I just came back to it last week, and, like I said, the episode was quite good.

I got into the show recently through the magic of DVD. I really enjoyed season 1. From there I was excited for season 2 but, alas, the writers strike ruined everything. If you watch the deleted ending for season 2 you can see that everything in Generations was leading up to a massive incident that I think would have made the show so much better in many people's eyes. Instead, the writers had to cut a major piece of the storyline out and because of that, season 3 got off to a shaky start, and they are just now putting the pieces back together.

Leave it to no doubt though, the writer's strike really put a hurting on the story line.

Last night's episode was alright. IGN hit the nail on the head when they said that, no matter what happened, it seemed like every event was brought back to the status quo somehow. And don't even get me started on the fact that Parkman got smashed against a wall and no one at the hotel made note of it.

And it took 2 episodes for him to get angry and that lasted for only a half hour because Daphne isn't dead.

These writers are some of the worst on television. Just awful.

It really is shocking how, with every passing episode, they seen more and more simpleton. Everything is so damn stupid. Like, why is it that every episode with Claire features a sequence where she demonstrates her power? Why is it that as soon as Peter walks into the room last episode and starts searching for stuff, the first thing he goes to is the case full of guns that Parker saw?

It's ridiculous how stupid they think their audience is.

Yeah the show gets simple and there are a lot of things we can critique about it, however when you come to think about, is anything on television smart these days. One thing I like about Heroes is that I can just sit there for an hour and escape into the story no matter how many contrivances there are in the plot.

It also helps that it looks like Parkman is going to go crazy and take out Washington.

I'd like to think Lost is pretty damn smart and 10 times the show Heroes is.

I'm sure many people can find a few shows that a better than Heroes. But for every "Lost" there is a "90210" just waiting in the wings.

Post Re: Heroes (Spoilers Welcome)
The thing about Heroes is that it does stick with the status quo for the majority of the episodes, which makes for bad TV, but every once in a while there are amazing episodes that renews everyone's faith in the show. You may disagree, but from what I've noticed, its the only reason why people still watch. HRG cutting Sylar's throat with boxcutters? BADASS.

The thing that I hate most about this show is its whimsical dealings with the characters. What the hell happened to Elle? I thought Kristin Bell was one of the better actresses on the show, and the relationship with Sylar actually gave her character some depOHWAITSHESDEAD. Another example: the plane crashes, and the heroes are trying to figure out what to do behind the rock. Suddenly, Daphne comes in and is about to go get helOHWAITSHESDEADTOO. I mean, come on, this is just lazy.
