I would like to see Betelgeuse go supernova. Could happen any minute. Or in a million years.

What would the effects on Earth be?

Just bright lights, or a gamma ray blast too?

Of course it may have already gone Supernova, being 600 light years away.

Orion's shoulder will light up.

At 600 light years away (a little bit of coffee shop napkin math tells me this is about 3.5 quintillion miles), I don't imagine it'll do too much to ruffle our hair.

- My parents first meeting, watching them fall in love over the initial years, and then especially, watching them have sex.

- I'd like to see Vexer try and eat his own head. Sorry, I meant words.

- A dog that speaks English fluently.

- Moses collaborate with Michael Bay.

Post Re: What would you like to see in your lifetime?
I'd like to see my movie idea get produced. It's very simple. Here it is. Right here:

A man spends 95 minutes fighting with his family, physicists, himself in an effort to build the world's first time machine. He loses friends, his wife, his dog in the process. Tear-filled nights are his only entertainment. He slaves away against the theories that tell him he's ridiculuous and eventually completes his invention. Will it work?

He gets in the time machine, shuts the door (cue brief FX-driven sequence) and lands in an undisclosed time. The door opens. He walks out the machine, up to a food cart and orders a hot "smaczne ciastko". He eats it, realizing his dream to try the Polish delicacy "tasty small cake" that one of his ancestors invented and produced for only one money-losing year: 1940. He gets in and goes back home to destroy his machine, satisfied that he got to eat the world's last tasty small cake.

The last shot will be in 1940, the dust kicked up from the departed time machine still in the air. When the dust clears, it will reveal that the Tasty Small Cake stand was right outside the entrance gate to Auschwitz.

Cue credits.

Just a future for America that Obama hasn't ruined.

A hover board.

Those learning machines from the matrix that allow me to learn anything in seconds ( fly a plane, 100 years worth of Kung fu, billy Joel piano skills, etc).

[placeholder post for the troll post that I am in the process of thinking up, because this thread is essentially about things that will happen in the future]

I'd take this but only if there was one, I was the sole owner. I would be so amazing at parties. I'd play Piano Man while kicking host's teeth down his throat. People would clap. I'd be popular. Finally.

Here is my troll post:

President Obama is your mother's butt.

Discuss.

OK, I have to admit that made me laugh, since the only way to respond to a ridiculous post is with one that's more ridiculous.

I'm just saying January 2017 will be one of the top 5 happiest times of my life if certain conditions are met:

1. Obama hasn't let our country go past the point of no return.
2. Obama doesn't pull one of his trickster moves and make himself dictator
3. Obama doesn't clone himself

Regardless of your partisanship, political leanings, etc., you know nothing about this country if you believe this is a distinct possibility.

It's a ridiculous post because you don't even know why you don't like the guy. Obama is pursuing many of the same policies that W pursued, but you like him for doing the same things you hate Obama for. It makes no sense whatsoever. I think you should turn off talk radio and read some more books.

January 2017 will be one of the happiest times of my life if you're no longer a member on here.

I think Obama's done a pretty good job overall, sure there are areas he could've done better in, but no one's perfect.

You really should stop getting all your information from Faux News.

I just can't respect a national leader who throws a baseball like a sissy, W on the other hand knows what's up:

Judging someone from how they throw, oh yeah that makes total sense

W obviously had no clue what was "up", otherwise he wouldn't have dumb enough to refer to Iran as one of the "Axis Of Evil" while they were helping out U.S. forces in Iraq.
