Post R.I.P. J.G. Ballard
One of my favorite authors died yesterday at the age of 78.

It's a tough blow for sci-fi fans especially, to lose him after Philip Jose Farmer died just a couple of months ago, and it seems like Kurt Vonnegut wasn't that long ago either (although it was 2 years). Anyway, 3 of my favorites, gone. So sad to know that there will be no new books from them.

Thanks for bringing this to attention; his death wouldn't be covered on any of the internet sources I go to for news. His influence can be seen far and wide throughout music, literature and film. Sad news.

/. covered his death. Have you ever visited the site? I get most of my news from them.
