I want ot know if i should read this series... please advise but keep in mind the following!!

I hated the LOTRs
I loved the Hobbit
I loved the farseer trilogys
I hate it when a writer starts giving goofy names to everything JUST SO you know its a magic world
I really hate how most fantasy drags on and on and on.. 1st books great, 2nd ones ok, 3td is about second rate background players, 4th + is about the heros third cousin 75 years after the main events in the first book and might as well be a new series.

I know im being differcult but what do you think? also ive heard the books start to go downhil after a while.
