I've ordered Brazil, The Game, 12 Angry Men, Anatomy of a Murder, The Killing, Last Temptation of Christ, Solaris, Following and Breathless. Should keep me busy over my Christmas holidays :)

Picked up The Rules of the Game over the weekend. That's all so far, but I'll go back for more before the sale ends.

Picked up The Game but that's for a Christmas gift so it probably doesn't count.

I don't buy DVDs any longer, not since my wife pointed out that I have two daughters and a spouse. And bills and a car payment and a dog and the cost of those classes.

I do like to look through and covet the Criterion stuff, though.

You lads have a safe Thanksgiving and take it easy on the stuffing.

The Friends of Eddie Coyle was awesome! Highly Recommend. 8/10 for me

I've owned this for almost a year now and I still haven't watched it. Need to get on that some point soon.

Dude! Watch that fucking movie!

So I finally watched this, a little less than two years after I bought it.

Also, I think we're getting close to another sale. And these are coming out soon:

I've been waiting for To Be or Not To Be since the day I first saw it. I remember checking on Amazon and the bare bones DVD was something like $75. Criterion will do one of my favorite movies right.

I'll also be picking up The Devil's Backbone during the next sale (August, I presume). That's a really good one.

I haven't seen the other two, but am interested. How are they?

Seconds is a really terrific, downbeat sci-fi thriller, kind of an early example of the type of paranoid thriller that would rise up in the '70s, with a surprisingly great performance from Rock Hudson of all people.

I've only seen a small sampling of the 9-hour Shoah from a Holocaust On Film class I took in my last semester as an undergrad, but it seems like one of those films that needs to be watched. That's going to be a more expensive package, so I might hold off on it for a little while though. The other three I'll be getting without hesitation.

^ Indeed!

I'll be heading over the B&N over the weekend and splurging on a handful of titles. Not sure what I'll be getting yet, outside of Sansho the Bailiff and Monsieur Verdoux.

Any ideas on what you'll be grabbing? This goes for Blonde Almond, but can apply to anyone else thinking about jumping on the deal.

Can't go wrong with those two choices.

I picked up Shoah and Marketa Lazarova yesterday. Haven't seen either yet, but I've heard nothing but great things. That might be it for me now though, at least until I get paid again. The Qatsi trilogy and the Three Colors films are tempting.

That's a nice mix. I rented the Godzilla package from my library last year, but I'm thinking now I might need to just pick it up. The original is a great film, and there are some quality extras.
