Interesting piece, i'll add that technology has gotten to the point where CGI of deceased people looks spot on, that's truly going to be put to the test in Fast 7 next year, where CGI will be used to finish the rest of Paul Walker's scenes, soundalikes will be used for his voice. I wouldn't be surprised if the technology is so good that people can't tell which scenes don't have Walker.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard of the rumors that Walker faked his death?

Mr. B -- have you been watching Cosmos like I have? I've been feeling more insignificant than usual after seeing all those billions and billions of stars, and how we are just tiny, brief specks in the cosmic dust.

Great piece. I miss Roger, too. With Owen Gleiberman getting axed at EW (and EW becoming even more of a shell of its former self), good film criticism is going, going, gone. Glad to have you and sites like The Dissolve.

JB, I'm nitpicking here, but I believe you are misinterpreting what the Second Law of Thermodynamics is actually stating. What the Second Law of Thermodynamics states that the entropy (which is defined as the measure of disorder, or a measure of the number of specific ways that a thermodynamic system can be arranged) of an isolated system (defined as a physical system where neither matter nor energy can be allowed to enter or exit, but only move around within that system) never decreases, because isolated systems always evolve toward thermodynamic equilibrium (i.e. in a state of balance, with no net flows of matter or energy, no phase transitions, no driving forces).
